A community of art professionals that build careers through skills development, networking and peer-mentoring.
AWITA was founded to champion female ambition and leadership across the visual arts. We’re a growing international community that believes convening and sharing knowledge can build a more equitable art world.
Members span the professional art world: gallerists, curators, art lawyers, advisors, writers, and auction house experts.
For women and non-binary individuals with 5+ years working in the professional arts. Membership starts at £250/year + VAT.

An End of Year Gathering
As 2025 comes to a close and many of us prepare to reconnect with family – near or far – we invite you to come together to reflect on belonging, leadership, and building cultural worlds away from home, and to share in honouring the work and legacy of revered Māori artist and activist, Robyn Kahukiwa.
Two New Zealanders in London, Sigrid Kirk and Phillida Reid, will be in conversation within the show, which gathers work by Kahukiwa (Ngāti Porou, Te Aitanga-a-Hauiti, Ngāti Konohi, Te Whānau-a-Ruataupare, 1938 - 2025), spanning the past thirty-five years.
